Daily Tour to Ephesus from Istanbul

Ephesus ancient city is one of the UNESCO world heritage in Turkey, and popular for travellers with its well-preserved ruins from the Hellenistic, Roman and early Christian eras.  

Your tour starts and returns from/to your hotel in Istanbul. All transfers with a flight ticket and the sightseeing tour with a professional guide and lunch are included in this tour.

ITINERARY

Early in the morning, we pick you up from your hotel in Istanbul and transfer you to Ataturk Airport to take a flight (1 hour 15min) to Izmir. Please check in for your flight by yourself with your passport and e-ticket, which we sent to you at the time of reservation.

On your arrival at Izmir, you meet with our agent who transfers you to our agency office to join your tour with the guide and your group. Your visit starts with Artemis temple, which is one of the 7 wonders of the ancient world, and the city ruins of Ephesus including Hadrian Temple, Celcius library, theatre, and Hamams passing through the old harbour path. Then you will feel the holy atmosphere of the exceptional Isabey Mosque. For your lunch, we take you to a traditional Turkish restaurant.
In the afternoon you visit the House of the Virgin Mary where she spent her last 5 years. This is recognized by the Vatican as a pilgrimage destination for Christians, visited by Pope Leo XII and Benedict XVI.

End of the tour we transfer you to Izmir Airport to take the flight back to Istanbul. Upon your arrival in Istanbul, our agent takes you to your hotel. End of our service.

Travel tips

Ephesus has a Mediterranean climate, so summers are dry and hot, so you will need sun cream and hydrating cremes for your skin.
A hat and light clothes are preferable.
Winters are warm and rainy, so you will need waterproof boots, a raincoat or an umbrella.
The springs are slightly hot but nights are always fresh, do not forget to bring your light jacket.
Autumns are tenderly hot but might be rainy like springs, better to have an umbrella.
On this tour always wear comfortable shoes as the surface might be slippery.
